EVE Online

Ever wonder how future space battles, politics and economy go? You can find all of them in this game:

An intense massively multiplayer space simulation game perfect for those sci-fi fans out there. This game primarily consist of 4 playable races: Amarr Empire, Minmatar Republic, Gallente Federation (my race) and Caldari State. Each comes with various bloodlines which separates them from one specialty to another. They also have their own fleet which is the most important. Ranging from small fighter frigates to huge thousand times larger (and rarer!) Titans with their doomsday devices that could wipe out hundreds of ships in one sweep. Each race's fleet of course has their own specialty which will be Amarr for versatility, Minmitar for speed, Caldari for armor and Gallente for firepower.

This game has a lot more to offer than piloting space ships but basically, you can choose your role weather you want to be a fighter pilot, miner, builder or a head of a corporation. A corporation by the way is equivalent to Guilds in mmorpg's.

Leveling up a character doesn't exist in this game, instead you learn skills. A skill pack must be purchased (if you don't have the skill yet) for you to learn it and may take around 30 minutes but when you increase the level of that skill, the time of learning increases and may take up to a week. Yes a WEEK!. Even if you log off the game, the skill you are learning is still in progress. These skills are required for you to learn newer and more advanced skills, fit armaments on your ship, create a corporation, build a ship mining advanced ores and many more. The skills you learn determine what type of character build you have.

Another thing I'm amazed about this game is that, it has an in-game calculator and browser. Ain't that neat!. As you open the map, It will show you somewhat a picture of a milky way but it IS really the whole EVE system's map. You can actually click on the smallest dot of light and go there by the use if your built in warp drive and every space station's nearby Stargate (which looks like a gun and makes you a bullet and fire you to your destination literally).

Last thing I have to say, This game is a bit complicated and its not for those people that are very impatient and wants action right away. You can try the game and I strongly suggest that you go through the tutorial first before proceeding because it will pretty much teach you the basics. See you in game!

Neural Sensor on games

The usual console games can be controlled using a game controller and punching those buttons. Nintendo Wii is a bit the same only its more concentrated on motion sensor. Now imagine playing a game without lifting a finger. Check this out:

Animusic!!

I just watched The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya series and the story is great but I love the music more. I really like the part where Haruhi suddenly climbed up the stage together with Yuki to perform in a band as temporary members since the original members were injured. Here are two of my most fave songs in the series: (By the way Aya Hirano is the seiyuu of Haruhi Suzumiya)

Habal²

One of my wife's relatives live in a small town named Indahag. They wanted us to stay their for a night or two since they missed us so much. So from Macassanding we went to a not very long and not too short travel to Indahag riding a multicab (a small utility van that the rear seats are arranged the same as a jeepney with an open rear entrance). The interesting part is that when we reach the middle part of the trip, the road will begin to go dark until its pitch black (coz we traveled during the night 7pm+) and the only light you will see is the light coming from the multicab. Not only that, the road is so small that only 2 small vehicles can only fit and it has so many curves! We finally had our rest when got to our destination. So for 2 days we were traveling from there down to the main city by riding a single motorcycle they called Habal-habal. I prefer to call it Habal squared (²x) eheh. Janneth had difficulty riding it because its a bit high and she is a bit scared since its just a single motorcycle and traveling through those winding roads. We got a chance to travel at daytime and I just realized that the road is indeed full of dust that it already looked like sand on the road. The most interesting part is that right beside the road is a very steep ravine and its like 100ft deep! I just don't think that its deep because it will just scare us, instead we appreciate the beauty of the whole scene. At night, when we went back using the same mode of transportation. I could still recall the whole scene but one thing popped in my mind, I looked behind and its really pitch black that you really cant see anything. I took out my camera and took a picture with a flash hoping to see something interesting but unfortunately my camera wasn't that powerful. Oh well, so much for the ghost stories I've heard from townspeople about riding at night.

Reunited

Few years back when I was still in high school, we had a group named Zerobytes composed of four best friends. One of them was my classmate Kilbaine, schoolmate Jig0 and classmate (computer shop) Hung Tie Lu or sometimes SON_GOHAN. Before I left CDO, we were able to took pictures of the four of us. When I got back to CDO, we reminice moments that we had before and sharing new ones. Finally, we got our new picture taken and Kilbaine's computer shop. I thought at first we wont be able to make it because of their conflicting schedule. though it was quick but its fun and meaningful for all of us.
